I'm really fascinated by old movies. The themes of these movies are universal, so by keeping an open mind there's an entire world out there waiting for you, a world that doesn't exist anymore. I especially dig silent movies. Getting into the right mood is sometimes the only problem. You know, that's what I like about this city, that you can watch old movies on the big screen.
I mean, instead of buying the DVD and watching them on the internet, you get the whole movie experience like it was meant to be. When watching old movies in movie theaters, it's much easier to engage in what's on the screen. I like movie matinees watching them in the afternoon, especially on a Saturday. I like the whole theater experience, being part of the audience. The whole experience, from buying tickets and popcorn, to discussing the movie afterwards and reading reviews on the Internet. I don't mind if the movie's not popular, it's not really hard to get tickets, I don't have to wait in line for ages for tickets.
